‘Wolf Hall’ actor Tom Holland gets to be new ‘Spider-Man’

Wolf Hall -Wolf Hall” is going to be one of those projects that you hear talked about throughout the rest of the Emmy awards season, even if it is a project that you have never personally heard of or seen. It is a BBC Two six-episode series set around the time of King Henry VIII, and it has also become an addition to the Masterpiece roster over on PBS. Damian Lewis in particular is generating plenty of buzz from the project.

What about Tom Holland? It is the news today that he will be the next Spider-Man that could eventually bring some more viewers back to “Wolf Hall,” as they are curious about his ability. It was announced today that he has been officially named to the role of Peter Parker in a series of upcoming films from Marvel Studios. We’re not going to spend too much time discussing the movie side of things, but this character is finally going to be a part of the same cinematic universe as Iron Man, The Hulk, and Captain America.

In our dreams, of course we would want to get a cameo or two from Peter Parker in the upcoming third season of “Agents of SHIELD.” It would even make a little sense, given that it could draw viewers to the show, and be a nice little teaser for an upcoming film. However, we don’t think the show will have that happen. For the most part, the stars of the movie universe, save for mostly Samuel L. Jackson, have been kept away from the series.

Of course, if anything ever is announced, we will be sure to share it for you here first.
