Da’Vonne Rogers comes across on the surface like someone who will be a great entertainer on “Big Brother 17.” Could she also be a good player? We’re not ruling that out. She’s a poker dealer, and given the sort of crazy / angry people she has to deal with regularly because of that job, she is probably better equipped to handle this experience of working with different people than the majority of the other people who enter the house.
One other interesting facet here is that she plans on hiding her job, and yet she may recognize poker player Vanessa Rousso, who is ironically also going to be hiding her job. Maybe these two could work together in a threatening alliance where if one breaks it off, the other spills the beans.
First Impression – She’s got a good sense of humor, and she also has personality and motivation in the form of a daughter. Strangely, #DaVonneHasADaughter is not as much fun of a hashtag as #DevinHasADaughter. She’s seen the show for a long time, should know some of what is coming, and above all else, she seems ready and willing for almost everything.
Worst Impression – She says that she can be really loud, and we’re not sure you ever want that since the odds are high that you are going to get on someone’s nerves a few weeks or even days in the house depending on what happens. We could also see her really struggling being away from her daughter, mostly because in her Big Jeff interview on CBS All Access (which is where we’re getting this information from for the most part) she gets a little choked up.
Ultimately, we don’t see much middle ground for Da’Vonne. She’ll either make it really far, or be one of the first people out.
