‘Big Brother 17’ cast spoilers: Shelli Poole, chocolate-lover and designer extraordinaire

We’re probably going to space out some of the rest of our “Big Brother” spotlight articles over the course of the next several weeks, largely because we don’t want to necessarily run out of subjects to talk about almost right away. However, we did want to get one more in Shelli Poole before we finished off today, given that she has a pretty big personality and her interview with Jeff Schroeder on the live feeds was so bizarre. Did anyone else cringe when she and Jeff started talking about clothes made of chocolate?

First impression – Shelli seems to be a pretty determined person, and someone who is down to have a good bit of fun in the house. We can see her being at least reasonably good entertainment on the live feeds, mostly because she’s probably not going to be someone capable of sitting back. Maybe that helps her in some ways strategically?

Worst impression – She’s an interior designer of sorts, so she is probably going to lose her mind when she realizes just how terribly messy some of the other players in this game are going to be a mere matter of days into the season. Also, she’s the oldest person currently announced at only 33 years old, and that in itself is pretty terrible that CBS doesn’t have interest in giving you a brought cross-section of people anymore. Are they playing too much into showmances?

Ultimately, though, we feel like Shelli is probably going to try really hard, and that will either be her downfall or what saves her in the game. We’ll probably have deeper impressions once we circle back around with the entire cast.
