‘Big Brother 17’ spoilers: Austin Matelson throws shade at fellow wrestler Jessie

Austin Matelson is going to be an interesting cat on “Big Brother 17.” For one, the tattoo in this promotional photo makes him look almost like he has greyscale from “Game of Thrones.” Also, he wasted no time in his interview with Big Jeff throwing some shade at former contestant turned wrestler Jessie “Mr. Pec-Tacular” Godderz. We’re the biggest fan of Jessie out there, so he loses some points for claiming that Jessie may have just gotten into it because it is “in fashion.”

If nothing else, though, we do at least think that he is going to be an interesting character this season … but it’s going to be hard for him probably to make it too far given how much the guy screams “threat.”

First impression – He actually seems to have a good heart somewhere in between cutting promos. He reminds us of CM Punk or many of the other wrestlers who try to leverage their position in order to do good things for others. He also has an alter ego named “Judas” who is apparently him with a hat on that he probably is going to disclose to everyone a week into the game, much to his own chagrin.

Worst impression – We got zero sense of how he will play the game other than lie sometimes. There’s nothing about him that screams “problematic,” but we don’t entirely get the sense that he is going to be able to relate to some of the other contestants who are a little less on the extreme end of the spectrum.

Despite his Jessie shade we still want Austin to last a while. He at least stands out in a cast that is very similar.
