‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Shawn Booth, Ian Thomson stir up more Kaitlyn Bristowe drama
Here is the thing about Kaitlyn Bristowe’s decision to bring Nick Viall onto “The Bachelorette” this season: It has far-reaching consequences. This is not something that is going to cause the guys to simply forgive her and move on right away to whatever is coming up next. They will be hung up on this, which means in turn that she is going to spend some time doing damage control.
First and foremost, the new promo below (via E! News) focuses extensively on Shawn Booth, who she gave the first impression rose to earlier this year. In theory, you would think that these two would be in great shape, right? Well, it’s a little bit more complicated than that. She asks Shawn if he has faith in her and her decisions, and he hesitates ever so slightly. Does that mean that he is more unsure about the relationship after the Nick decision?
Even still, this pales in comparison to Ian, who really just seems to go completely off on her, saying that she is a “surface-level person” while she just has to sit there and take it. We really liked Ian preseason, so we hope that there is some sort of major reason why he decided to confront her like this. Otherwise, he’s going to come off looking like a jerk, since it is so much easier to edit a contestant negatively than the lead, since you want to be more sympathetic towards them.
The one thing that is interesting here is that for a time, we thought Ian was going to be a huge candidate for romance with her; however, since the beginning he’s barely had any real time with her at all.
