‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Chris Harrison on Nick Viall’s longevity
Is it possible that we see Nick Viall for a long period of time on this season of “The Bachelorette“? While that may not be the most favorable thing in the world to some of Kaitlyn Bristowe’s other guys (not to mention some of the show’s fans who don’t like him), it is definitely possible. For Kaitlyn to bring this guy on three weeks into the season, she has to at least be fairly confident that she has some sort of chemistry with him already. In other words, she’s not eliminating him at the Rose Ceremony in New York.
This is basically confirmed by Chris Harrison in his interview with TV Guide, who makes it clear that Nick, just like in Andi Dorfman’s season, is really not that interested in being friends with the other guys. He is just going to do whatever he wants, and getting close to Kaitlyn is at the top of that priority list:
“We have a rose ceremony [at the beginning of next week]. Not only is the bomb of Nick coming in and living with them about to be dropped, but very shortly after, they’ll have to deal with the fact that some of them are going home and Nick is not. Then we’re off to San Antonio, Texas, and that’s when the real drama begins. The relationships are tested and some of them quickly don’t work. And in true Nick fashion, he doesn’t try to ingratiate himself with the guys. He could come in and be humble, but he’s not. He has this skill to just rub people the wrong way.”
While there is no guarantee that Nick wins this season, we do at least feel like he’s got a good shot now of lasting a few more weeks until the super-serious part of the competition.
Now, if he somehow makes it to an “After the Final Rose” episode, maybe we all should be prepared for some fireworks…
