‘Mistresses’ season 3 spoilers: Watch new scene featuring Jennifer Esposito!

Is Calista Raines going to be a fantastic addition to “Mistresses,” or are you going to be spending more of your time wondering why in the world we needed someone to fill the Alyssa Milano spot at all? We don’t want to judge everything based on the new sneak peek below (via TV Guide), but we would at least say for now that things are very much looking good.

One of the things that we like more or less right away about this character (played by Jennifer Esposito) is that her arrogance truly knows no bounds. This is someone who takes a parking spot away from Joss in a blink of an eye, and then offers $100 to more or less have her go away. There is something here that is so obnoxious, but at the same time so much fun that you cannot help but wonder what else she could bring to the table. For that reason and others (the fashion sense), she already comes across as a very interesting character.

We have to imagine that if things are already this rocky between Calisa and Joss already, where in the world will the story go from here with her? We’re actually not as concerned over the exit of Milano as we thought we would be at around this time, mostly because we do think that this show is so much bigger than any one person. So long as there are still some likable people plus some juicy drama, we figure that all will be okay in the end.
