‘Masters of Sex’ season 3 trailer: Virginia, Bill, and Libby’s tangled web

Come Sunday, July 12 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, the latest season of “Masters of Sex” is going to be premiering on Showtime. We imagine that this will be a rather-crazy season of television from start to finish, or at least as crazy as a serious drama based in part on real-life events can be.

The first thing that you should know about this trailer is mostly that there is a big time jump up to 1966. As a result of this, we are no longer in a position where Virginia Johnson and William Masters are anything close to being on the outside of society anymore. With the sexual revolution in full swing, they are now thought of as pioneers, and may even have an opportunity to travel around the world together in promotion of their study.

While their professional lives may be booming, there are still quite a few issues that could come up in terms of what’s happening personally. For one prime example, just remember the fact that the two are technically married to other people, and there is a good deal of relationship drama that comes along with that.

Also, why in the world are Virginia and Libby kissing? Maybe this is just another sign of the times, but this is looking more and more like it will be the messiest chapter of the show so far.
