’19 Kids and Counting’ loses yet another sponsor in Walgreens

19 Kids and Counting -The migration of sponsors away from “19 Kids and Counting” is continuing, and this time around, one of the latest making the decision to depart is drugstore giant Walgreens.

In a series of reply posts on Facebook, the company made it very clear that “in the wake of recent news, we are no longer advertising on the ‘19 Kids and Counting’ program.” The other companies to join this mass exodus from the program include PayLess ShoeSource, Choice Hotels, and many more. This is clearly going to make it hard for TLC to bring back the series; as of right now, the companies pulling their advertisements is really not making much of a tremendous impact, mostly due to the fact that there is no real show in order to advertise in. TLC removed most of their new episodes of the series last week from their TV schedule.

There is no timetable for when a firm decision could be made here, but we’re almost 100% confident that you never see Josh Duggar on the screen again after reports surfaced of him molesting minors while he was himself still a teenager. One solution may be the show moving forward with a very different focus, such as on the other children. Even still, it will be hard to never address the controversy in any form. We still believe that cancellation is the most obvious answer.

Ultimately, you better believe that we will have more news on this subject the very moment that it becomes available. Stay tuned.
