‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ season 2 finale reaction: Did Jake and Amy kiss?

While the majority of other shows that aired on Sunday throughout the season are now over, Fox used Sunday in order to finally conclude their second season of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” In turn, there was also one enormous question that they asked when it comes to Jake and Amy: Are these two finally going to admit their feelings for one another?

As with many other comedy series these days, especially another Mike Schur program in “Parks and Recreation” and another in “The Office” that he worked on, romance was built into the show’s very foundation. The couple never starts the show together, but then builds something that has people more and more excited over the course of the year.

In the end, we saw Jake and Amy decide for now that they are not going to be together … at least at first. However, we imagine that them kissing a couple of times while undercover may have been enough to make them realize that they were great for each other. If nothing else, they were willing enough to try something a little more complicated.

This was not the only surprise that the series threw at you for its finale Sunday night, as we also learned the news that Captain Holt was forced to accept a “promotion” from his longtime nemesis Wunch, otherwise he would be running the risk of not being able to keep the detectives and officers stationed within the 99. Rather than separate them, he accepted the job, and the cliffhanger involves waiting for a new Captain to arrive.
