‘The Bachelorette’ spotlight: Meet Justin Reich, father and trainer extraordinaire
We’re going to be honest right out of the gate here with this “Bachelorette” spotlight article and say that the personal trainers are not our favorite type of contestant to spotlight. Sometimes you do get someone like Cody Sattler who surprises you, but the majority of the time they are really loud, brash, and not that interesting beyond an episode or two. Hopefully, Justin Reich can reach for the stars and break that trend.
What we do know going right out of the gate here is that Justin is one of several single dads on this season, and that often does make a contestant almost instantly more likable. However, it is a double-edged sword due to the serious things that it makes the Bachelorette think about before the final rose ceremony.
Name – Justin Reich
Age – 28 (which seems to be the common age for many contestants)
Location – Naperville, Illinois
Occupation – Personal trainer. Yep, Justin is very muscular. He’s probably great at his job. There’s just nothing too interesting about that as a profession on this show, since it mostly just means that they will spend most of the season sans shirt.
First impression – Most of his bio sounds sincere, and like he is a guy on the show for love and not just to hang out. Him being a dad does give us a little bit of hope that he is not just going to be a total party guy on the show, or some of those other stereotypes that can come with trainers on the show.
Worst impression – Mostly, it is that he comes across as a little boring. Maybe he has more of a spark in person, but he is going to need that if Kaitlyn in particular is chosen.
Prediction – Justin seems to us almost like an early boot, mostly because we’re not sure he is going to stand out personality-wise from the field. He does seem to be a good guy from what we can figure, but that’s not always an indicator someone will go far.
