‘The Bachelorette’ spotlight: Meet Joshua Albers, welder and mountain-climber

Joshua -Joshua Albers is a man that we could describe in a variety of different ways as a contestant on “The Bachelorette.” First, he is a welder, and is one of the few blue-collar guys who also has a great sense of humor about it on the show. He also comes from Idaho, which makes him a country boy in a way that is somewhat similar to Chris Soules (though to be fair, Joshua lived in something much more resembling a town). He loves comedy movies, mountain climbing, and he’s got a ton of tattoos (though not as much as student / exotic dancer Josh).

We’re anxious to dive into his profile, mostly because there are some things about him that we like, and could make him someone worth rooting for on the season.

Name – Joshua Albers

Age – 31

Location – Kuna, Idaho

Occupation – Industrial welder. It’s not the flashiest job, but we have more and more respect for guys who have a trade these days. It also makes them good reality TV contestants since you can give him a package of him working on a project. (If any show tries to give us shirtless welding, it will probably be this show. Screw danger!)

First impression – This is a guy who has a variety of different interests. He’s religious, adventurous, and has a lot of life experience over the first three-plus decades that he’s been on the planet. He could be a nice guy, but we feel especially like he’s going to be pretty level-headed, and should not be camera-mugging like some other people.

Worst impression – If there is one superhero he could be, Joshua says he would be the Invisible Man. He may want to rethink that answer because of how it comes across. (Just run that through your head for a second!)

Prediction – He’s probably either going to be completely forgotten the first two nights or sent home, or he will be around for a while. He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who is going to be kept because of entertainment.
