‘Silicon Valley’ season 2, episode 6 preview: The counter-attack

Silicon Valley -In the world of HBO’s “Silicon Valley,” so much of the story is about staying ahead of the game. A big part of that revolves around finding out some of what your competition is doing, and then working tirelessly in order to ensure that what you are doing finds a way to completely topple that.

For Pied Piper, they now have the knowledge that Hooli and Gavin are arranging for Nucleus to take part in a powerful livestream event, with the problem here being that the fledgling company may not actually be at the position that it needs to be in order to operate in the public. Everyone is just too afraid to tell Gavin how far behind they are.

Meanwhile, Pied Piper is in a unique position, mostly because they are operating underground and really have no expectations at all to deliver anything … at least just yet. That may change when the group works with an energy drink company (founded by a “friend” of Erlich’s, who strangely looks a little like the late Christopher Evan Welch) for a livestream even of their own.

If they pull this off, it is a tremendous coup to show that they are well ahead of Nucleus, and they may need as much public favor as possible with the pending lawsuit staring down at them. However, failure means playing into the hand of Gavin even more. He can sweep up all of the naysayers, and crush Richard and company like the metaphorical bugs in the industry that they still are.

Oh, and this episode also looks hilarious based on the promo below.
