‘The Bachelorette’ spotlight: Meet Jonathan Holloway, ABC’s Superman?

Jonathan Holloway wants to be Superman. He also hates bad breath, admires Warren Buffett, and is a pretty quiet guy as far as the internet goes. We haven’t seen him make the same active effort to plaster himself everywhere as some of the other “Bachelorette” contestants for Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season.

Yet, we do still find ourselves at the moment sitting here and wondering whether or not Jonathan will be good TV in that he’ll be a real contender of love, or just because he has a big personality. There does not seem to be a whole lot of middle ground sometimes with this show, since only rarely are contestants both. Let’s just go ahead and share what we know about the guy for now.

Name – Jonathan Holloway

Age – 33

Location – Detroit, Michigan

Occupation – Automotive spokesman. Does that mean that he sells cars? We wish that everyone didn’t use some crazy-abstract job titles that make it impossible to know what people actually do for a living.

First impression – He seems very charismatic, knows what he likes, and will speak up if he has an opinion. Sometimes, this will probably help him. Other times? Not so much.

Worst impression – When asked if he considers himself a romantic, here is what Jonathan says: “Yes! Because I try to always listen and attend to a woman’s needs. Not just in the bedroom, but all around. That can be very romantic to the right woman.” This may be one of the most cringe-worthy statements that we have ever read.

Prediction – Jonathan seems like the guy who is going to get on people’s radar, then shoot himself in the foot somehow and go home much earlier than he could have otherwise. Time will tell if we are right or wrong.
