‘The Bachelorette’ spotlight: Meet Joe Bailey, racing to the end

While Joe Bailey is not a car-racing enthusiast in the way that Arie Luyendyk was on “The Bachelorette,” he does bring some other skills to the table. Namely here, we are talking about the fact that he’s from Kentucky, and he also happens to be a racehorse owner! The guy probably went insane a little bit earlier this month.

For this show, he brings a smile that reminds us of Jim Carrey, a personality that is fairly low-key, and a love for the outdoors. He’s probably going to have a very specific point of view on the show, and who knows? Maybe standing out because of his location and work history will be an asset to him.

Name – Joe Bailey

Age – 28

Location – Columbia, Kentucky

Occupation – Insurance agent. We found out about the horse-racing stuff through our own research. One quick question: Is he the first insurance agent / racehorse owner hybrid in existence?

First impression – This is not a guy who on the surface will be boozing it up, causing fights, or getting too aggressive to kiss either Kaitlyn Bristowe or Britt Nilsson. He’s more of a family guy and a religious one, given that he talks about helping his sister go on a mission trip. We can probably picture a hometown date with him at a racetrack already…

Worst impression – He likes to live in the moment. That’s not always a bad thing, but it is if you are with someone who wants to make some sort of serious plans for the future.

Prediction – Joe has a chance to go far. He’s the kind of guy we imagine getting an intro package on the first night, and the producers focusing on fairly heavily as long as they have him in the early going.
