‘The Bachelorette’ spotlight: Meet Jared Haibon, man without fear
We really want to paint “Bachelorette” contestant Jared Haibon in our head almost as a Steven Seagal sort of figure, mostly because this is a man so daring to say that he has zero date fears in his ABC bio. We don’t know if this makes him incredibly badass, or just incredibly arrogant to think that he is so secure in who we is.
For the time being, all that we can really say with confidence at this point is that Jared is a guy we are curious to watch this season, though there are some serious alarms already going off in our head right now about why he is a part of this particular show. Does he want romance, a bigger career, or a combination of the two? There are people who do go on this show for both, and we don’t think that they are necessarily terrible people for doing so. We just have to find out with him.
Name – Jared Haibon
Age – 26
Location – Warwick, Rhode Island
Occupation – Restaurant manager. It’s not exactly the flashiest profession in the world, and in our head we still want to picture that he runs some sort of cool local establishment with awesome cuisine that you would see featured on a Food Network show, and not some tacky burger chain. This title means so many different things!
First impression – At first glance, he seems nice enough. He volunteers to help with children suffering from cancer, and cares very much for his father. Isn’t that evidence that he is a great family man? We at least like to think so.
Worst impression – It’s the classic red flag known as being an aspiring model and actor. He had a talent profile that has been since taken down. Remember, not every person with these ambitions is bad (Britt has shown them herself!), but you are inevitably going to face questions about how much you are viewing this as an audition.
Prediction – He looks charismatic and confident enough to last the first night. We’re just not that sure he will last a long period of time after that.
