‘The Bachelorette’ spotlight: Meet Clint Arlis, engineer with nice hair

Clint Arlis on “The Bachelorette” is definitely working the hair game. Typically, the majority of the contestants in a season all look the same, so we’re always down for someone who brings something a little different. He seems on the surface to be friendly, he has an impressive job, and he is a city guy who lives in a pretty desirable place.

Of course, none of this is a guarantee that he will do well on Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson’s season. We’re going to at least do our best in this spotlight to suss out how well he is going to do in the season based on the limited information online. There are no spoilers ahead, so you can go ahead and read with some confidence.

Name – Clint Arlis

Age – 27

Location – Chicago, Illinois

Occupation – Architectural engineer. It’s an impressive job, so let’s give Clint some bonus points for that. We can at least tell from what we’ve seen online that he takes that pretty seriously.

First Impression – We wish that he took the rest of the competition as seriously, given that he did something that to us is always indicative of someone apathetic about the experience: He answered all of his bio questions in a pretty succinct manner, like he just wanted to get it done to move on to something else.

Worst Impression – He makes a Chuck Norris joke in his bio. If this was 2007, we’d be so thrilled about that right now.

Prediction – Clint could go early, or he could last a while. He’s smart enough that he could impress either Kaitlyn or Britt without too much effort. What we worry about here for him is that we’re not entirely sure that he is ready to open up and let his guard down on a show that forces you to do so in record time.
