‘The Bachelorette’ spotlight: Meet Brady Toops, Christian music man
Watch out: We have another singer on “The Bachelorette“! If we are honest here, most of the singers who are on this show do not have a great track record. Typically, they are either conceived as being there “for the wrong reasons,” or they get some sort of terribly-hokey edit that makes their career seem like a joke.
The good thing about Brady Toops is that he already seems to have some success in the music industry, and he is also a different sort of singer than anyone else we’ve seen over the years. He’s more of a man of faith, and a performer at churches rather than bars. We’re interested in seeing what he brings to the show, mostly because he’s so different than the typical contestant.
Name – Brady Toops
Age – 33
Location – Nashville, Tennessee
Occupation – Christian music singer. We’ve seen contestants on the show who are certainly religious, but not many who wear it so openly on their sleeve. Is he going to be able to handle doing some of the sleazier group dates this season? He may have an added reason to pray for sanity.
First Impression – There’s something that Brady has done that makes him very different than almost every other contestant in recent memory, and we’re not talking about anything related to the show itself. We’re going to stay quiet about it, though, until after the show airs. He does at least seem to be an interesting, sensitive guy. Take a listen to one of his performances. Just don’t read the comments if you want to avoid spoilers.
Worst Impression – Mostly that he’s a singer / songwriter on this show. Have anything you want to promote? It just seems almost incongruous to us that this would be where he would want to put himself out there in terms of his personal life.
Prediction – We’re going to have to plead the fifth on this one. We don’t go looking for spoilers, but in this case, spoilers found us and we want to keep the site from of them if we can.
