‘Big Brother Canada 3’ review: Did Brittnee or Sarah win special power, and what does it do?

Sarah -We’re going to gloss over at least part of tonight’s “Big Brother Canada” show, mostly because watching production torment Brittnee and Sarah before giving them the news about the special power was somewhat mean … though probably not as evicting someone from the game on Wednesday because of outside influence. We didn’t like the coup d’etat in season 11 of the U.S. show, so we don’t like it fundamentally as a concept now, even if it is saving someone in Brittnee who we like.

We’ll give Britt some major credit here for her performances as of late; we were convinced that it was Sarah who won the power! However, she has it, and in turn the power to replace either one or both of Ashleigh’s nominations. Our guess is that for sure she will work to get Zach out of the game, and maybe she’ll put up Bruno along with him. Maybe. It’s tricky for her here, since it would be easy to just nominate one person in Zach and not anger anyone else.

Anyhow, of course Sarah took herself off the block, and Ashleigh put Brittnee on the block with “no hard feelings.” If it wasn’t for Godfrey, we would sleep through these ceremonies. The guy is entertainment gold! It’s too bad the rest of the episode can’t live up with that.

Finally, let’s just say that at least the product-placement Veto this time was slightly better than the others … even if it did feature a heavy luck component in what was almost the BB Canada version of Plinko from “The Price Is Right.” Grade: B+
