‘Mad Men’ season 7, episode 14 (series finale) preview: ‘Person to Person’ ends Don Draper’s story
Next week on a very special edition of “Mad Men,” the story finally comes to a close. “Person to Person” is the title for the series finale, and we are already excited to a certain extent to decipher the meaning of it. All we really know for now is that this episode will conclude Don Draper’s story for better or for worse.
Unfortunately, AMC is really not letting anything be known in advance when it comes to this story. While this is a network known for coy synopses, the one for this episode really takes the cake: “The stories of Don Draper, his family and his coworkers come to an end in the series finale.” To expect anything more of them at this point would be unrealistic. Maybe the events of tonight will come into play, but who knows? If the show uses a time jump as it often does, it gives the story room to breathe.
So what you really should be thinking about at the moment in regards to the “Mad Men” series finale is just how creator Matthew Weiner will decide to wrap this story up. Will he go the way of “The Sopranos” with a quick move to black, or try to wrap things up more definitively? We do not imagine that we are going to see Weiner copying the David Chase series he famously worked on.
In the end, we see him wandering along what will hopefully be his own path. This is not a world where everyone is going to have a happy ending; we just hope that they have a ending, and something that gives us a few meaty subjects to discuss in the days that follow.

I think Pete will ironically die in a plane crash. The jet will be that of his new company.
