‘Mad Men’ season 7, episode 13 preview: More on ‘The Milk and Honey Route’

You are going to have a chance tonight to see a variety of big events during the penultimate episode of “Mad Men” Sunday night, but the first thing that we figured you would want to know here today relates to something as simple as just how long the episode is going to run. Well, be sure to set your DVRs accordingly: “The Milk and Honey Route” will go for a full 71 minutes including commercials. Given that we are near the end of the series, this is something that does not surprise us given how much story there is to ultimately cram in here.

Now, take a look at the promo below, and how little of it is focusing on Don Draper, who decided at the end of “Lost Horizon” that he was just going to wander around searching for something. Pete Campbell will take center stage for a few events, and we are going to have more of Betty and Henry than we’ve had almost the full season.

To us, the biggest disappointment here may be the complete lack of Roger, given that we are still hoping to see a really big story for John Slattery before the end of the series that actually updates us on Roger’s life away from work. McCann may not be the happiest place to be, but there are a few important things that we probably can still expect.

Ultimately, we just feel like there is a chance to be very surprised by the events that take place tonight.
