‘American Idol XIV’ spoilers: Structure for Jax, Nick Fradiani, Clark Beckham tonight

Since we don’t have a full list of “American Idol” song spoilers tonight and we don’t want to just come on here sharing a partial list, we thought that there would be another way that we could preview what should be an eventful top 4 show: By at least sharing what the format of the program is going to be.

First and foremost, each contestant is going to get a chance to do three songs each! That is a great chance to really know where they all are musically, and also for them to all have at least one moment. Sure, they will probably each have a high and low performance, so timing could be the key to success tonight more so than anything else. You want to gave a great performance, but you also want to have it at the right time.

Another component of tonight’s show will be the hometown visit. Rayvon Owen, Jax, Nick Fradiani, and Clark Beckham all had a chance to return to their hometowns before tonight’s show, and met many of the people who helped them get to where they are now. We do still like the tradition that is present here, but we don’t necessarily feel like it is the same thing that it was a decade or so when the winner of this season had a strong chance of superstardom. At that time, you could practically see mobs during these hometown visits. It’s a little bit more lowkey now.

By the end of the episode, we will of course be down to a smaller lineup, as we get closer and closer to the finale. If you saw our recent contestant rankings, then you know already that Rayvon Owen is the consensus pick to go home next. While he has done very well this season, he’s also been in consistent danger for well over a month now.
