NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results preview: Sawyer Fredericks, Joshua Davis, Kimberly Nichole rule iTunes

Sawyer -We’re amazed that this season of “The Voice” is continuing to draw such big ratings, mostly because of the fact that there seems to be such a clear, obvious frontrunner in Sawyer Fredericks. He is ruling not only YouTube, but iTunes for almost every performance.

This week, his cover of “Simple Man” brought him all the way up to #2. Every one of his performances since the top 12 has received that coveted multiplier, and unless something insane happenings at the end of the season, we seems poised for the trophy that goes along with winning this show. While there are singers with incredible voices this season, can any of them build the momentum needed to surge ahead?

The big surprise is the comeback of Joshua Davis, who looked a week ago like he was just about out of the competition. Now, he is sitting pretty at #4 on iTunes and looks to be safe for at least one week. Do we think that he will win the season? Probably not, but this is another sign that he is probably going to be keeping Adam Levine relevant in the competition for awhile.

The rest of the chart is pretty bunched together, all things considered. Nobody is lower than #40 as of Tuesday afternoon, with Hannah Kirby and (surprisingly) Koryn Hawthorne all the way down there. We’d count on both Kimberly Nichole and Corey Kent White being safe since they were both in the top 20. From here, it’s a bit more ambiguous. Our guess? The bottom three will be Hannah, Koryn, and India Carney, with Koryn getting the Save to make it to the top 6.
