‘Blue Bloods’ season 5 finale spoilers: Will Danny be able to save Linda, stop a gang war?
Is there going to be an end to the “war” on “Blue Bloods”? This is something that was discussed during tonight’s new episode, and it will continue moving into the season finale airing next week. “The Art of War” may be the most intense episode in years, given that we are picking up almost directly where we left off, and the gang war in New York has escalated to a whole new level.
Tonight’s episode specifically ended with Linda Reagan and the sole witness in the Donald Kent shooting being gunned down, and while we hope that she will survive. While we would like to sit here and tell you that Linda is going to make it out of this situation alive all we can offer you is the official synopsis below:
“When a member of the Reagan clan is shot, Danny’s tries to track down the gang member responsible, without letting his emotions get the best of him. Also, he must get creative in order to bring in witnesses, in the conclusion of the two-part fifth season finale.”
By the end of this episode, we would be surprised if this story is wrapped up in some way. There’s really no need to continue it into season 6, especially since the show’s renewal status going into it is not confirmed just yet. While we think that it will be renewed, why run that risk with loose ends, especially when you already have a great cliffhanger set up for the finale? Tie this one up, and then open new doors when the new season begins.
What do you expect to see on the finale of “Blue Bloods”? Do you think that Linda dying would set up an interesting dynamic for Danny as a widower going into the new season or would you rather see him stay stable with his wife? Share with a comment below now.

I would like to see Linda and Danny carry on there loving relationship, I don’t wanna see any of the Reagan family leave the show… The are the people we have loved as part of the family. Please if possible, don’t change the original cast members as the story will never be the same again

If Linda dies, Danny will lose it and turn into a CBS version of Jax Teller, lol

I’m not convinced it was Linda shot since it went to black. The preview said a member of the Ragan gang, not his wife. I have a hunch you’ll find out Jamie was shot by one of the gang.

Did you see the promo for the finale. She was being rushed to the er on a gurney while Danny yelled that’s my wife and Jamie was holding him back. It was linda that got shot.

This is a great show never miss this show. Cannot say the same for some other CBS shows especially on Monday evening the line up is absolutely terrible. Keep Blue Bloods. Don’t depend on younger generation they live on their phones not TV.

I think they should have Linda survive, it would make everything interesting. How Danny will blame his sister and dad and how Linda will blame them also.I think Linda is a very important component to the show.

That is true but i think Erin and Frank will blame themselves. I want to see what steps the Police Commissioner will take to find the gunman.
1)follow the book.
2) All Out War.

I like Linda, and would like her to survive. Danny is such a hot head. He is always hitting someone, I get tired of that.

Sadly CBS has not made a decision about Blue Bloods. Won’t be surprised if it goes the way of Without a Trace or Cold Case. They define a shows success by younger demographics. I don’t understand why because they are all on their cell phones.

As I see it enough tragedy in the Reagan family 1st Frank’s wife dies of cancer and his son Joseph is gunned down by one of their own, the family is after all this is a wholesome one, yes they have their issues as other families do, but at the end of the day Frank makes sure that his family especially on Sunday all sit down together. Please by some stroke of luck allow Linda to survive it would be a terrible loss to lose her both for Danny and the family.

I think killing Linda is a terrible idea. Their dinamic is amazing and a great story line in itself.

Linda is an amazing part of the dynamics of the Regan clan…..often the voice of reason, comfort and encouragement. Her fierce loyalty and protectiveness of the entire family is an integral part of the show. For continued success, Linda NEEDS to remain with the show.

Please don’t kill Linda off the show! She is a major character, and Danny will go off the deep end without her.

I like Linda, please let her survive. Linda is good for Danny, she keeps him grounded and I think in a way she took up where Mary left when when she passed away. I do hope Danny gets the ones who are responsible and I also think he will be very angry with Frank and Erin. I did not like her comment, “Do solid police work”, like he has not been doing that. I am sure he will feel that if he had been able to hold the suspect that this may not have happened. Linda was brave to stand in front of her patient, tough woman.

I wouldn’t want the show to kill off Linda. I think that would be a bad story line. It would take over the show. Maybe just let her be touch and go for an episode while Danny does his thing!!

Would hate to see Danny as a widower. There is already enough single parents on the show.

I don’t want to see Danny as a widower. Linda adds a balance to the Reagan family dynamic that is very much needed. The Reagans are going to have some major issues to overcome since Danny’s hands were tied when it came to solving the case. On a separate note, I would like for the show to bring back Laura Peck from the Blue Templar episode as Jamie’s girlfriend/wife. They made a very attractive couple.

I cannot imagine how bad Donnie/Danny will go off the deep end. God help NYC

I absolutely love Amy Carlson and never want to see an actor out of work, but damn… I would definitely watch Danny as widower! I think it would bring a whole new dynamic to him… I mean, will he go completely over the edge and become a vigilante? How will it affect his always cantankerous relationship with Erin and Frank? I could see him retiring to stay home and raise his sons… so many choices if she doesn’t survive. AND I CAN’T WAIT FOR NEXT FRIDAY!!!

Idk what Id do if I was Danny, way hard not to feel my wife got shot bc my dad and sister forced me to handle the case the way I did by badgering the poor witness instead of being able to hold the shooter
