‘Bones’ season 10, episode 15 preview: How does Brennan learn pregnancy news?

As may of you know already, Emily Deschanel is expecting her second child in real life. Lucky for her, she has a job in “Bones” that is not forcing her to carry around huge bags over her stomach or wear baggy clothing in order to hide it.

The sneak peek below is all about how Brennan and Booth (David Boreanaz) learn that they are expecting their second child together, and it includes everything from tension to excitement to Booth dancing about like a child. It also immediately includes a change of perspective from him about how he wants to handle this new pregnancy. Part of this includes trying to reduce Brennan from being out in the field as much as possible. He’s a protective dad-to-be! Did you really expect anything else from him? He has show time and time again how important his family is to him and that he will do whatever it takes to protect them from any harm.

We have already heard that the child will not be born this season, and while we expect a few more scenes about the baby this season (it is a big change in their lives), we’re not expecting anything on the level of when Christine was born. There’s probably a feeling from the writers that they have already done much of the giving birth story already the first time, and Booth and Brennan have a better idea this time of what to expect the second time around.

Also, we imagine that the producers did not want to focus too much on a pregnancy if this turns out to be the last season of the show. The fate of the series is still to be determined, and it may still be a couple of weeks until we learn its future.
