‘Big Brother Canada 3’ spoilers: Has Zach made worst move in show history?

Zach -Before we dive too much into this article, let’s make one thing clear about the premise: We are talking here about “Big Brother Canada” primarily, and not necessarily any other version of the show.

While there is still some time here for there to be some sort of super-dramatic 11th-hour shift in the game, we feel confident now in saying that Zach putting his #1 ally in Jordan on the block, and then not using the Veto on him, has to go down as the dumbest move in the history of the game. It’s sillier than anything the First Five did, Paul thinking that calling Andrew a racist would endear people to him, Peter not using his Veto on Topaz, or Topaz voting for the wrong person (that was a mere accident).

Why did Zach ever do this? We feel like that is as important to understand as anything, and from the surface we attribute it to this: This is the person Zach is in life. Think about it. This is a young, smart, good-looking guy who happens to be the quarterback of a college football team. He’s had a lot going for him over the course of his life; he’s probably had countless admirers, compliments, and is used to getting what he wants. He feels like he is the smartest guy in the room. Therefore, why wouldn’t the house want to get rid of Godfrey, known at times for causing trouble, over his ally in Jordan? He has the belief that every person in the house is on his side.

We give him some credit for not thinking that Sindy was going to be returning to the game. Those sort of things are tough to predict. However, him not making a move because he’s worried about where Sindy stands? Ridiculous. He had the Veto, and just because Sindy was in a showmance with Jordan doesn’t mean she wants to work with him. He completely misjudged where she stood, and his fear of someone like Bobby, who has openly admitted to throwing competitions since the second week, caused him to be tentative. Once you know that someone has returned to the game, you don’t want to rely on them for anything. They’ve been gone for weeks. You don’t know where they stand.

Sure, to a certain extent we blame Jordan for completely throwing the Veto and relying on Zach to win it, but he probably was not going to win that competition even if he tried. Zach had all of the means to make a big move, and decided to just sit there and try to stay on the middle of the house. While his book has not been completely written yet, this will most likely cost him his game.

The funniest thing about Zach’s potential downfall is this: Years before playing, he wrote a tweet to Peter Brown calling him a “p***y” for the way that he played the game. Now, he has made a move so cowardly that we can’t imagine what the Zach of two years ago would have told him.
