‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ preview: Fighting, screaming, and letters from home

Doesn’t the video thumbnail below of Dan and Rodney look sweet? If you recall, Rodney wanted to beat Dan up on an earlier episode of “Survivor: Worlds Apart” over what the guy said about his mother in a joke.

This is what getting a little bit of love from home feels like. It has been seasons since the show has done an in-person family visit, and we figure there are two reasons for that: “Blood vs. Water” seasons haven’t needed them, and giving the castaways letters from home is a chance to save a ton of money versus having to actually fly people out from all over America and take care of them while they’re on location. Even still, most people will do anything for a letter from home, save for the occasional player who feels like it takes them somewhat out of the game.

Enjoy these emotional moments while you can, since it already looks like the majority of this episode will be chaos. Will and Shirin get into an epic shouting match, and it seems like Rodney has another one of his famous outbursts coming up, as well. Dan has some harsh words (big surprise), and there is potential that a new twist could play a part in what is to come. Jeff Probst confirmed earlier this week that there is power in the form of an extra vote coming, and while we don’t know if it plays a role tomorrow, it very well could eventually. If expectations hold, tomorrow may very well be the craziest and therefore best hour of the season.
