NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Did #VoiceSave help Joshua Davis, Deanna Johnson, or Rob Taylor?

The latest -Tonight’s new episode of “The Voice” definitely has the potential to be dramatic, mostly because of the fact that there were a few candidates easily meant for elimination. Sure, we know that there are major favorites at the moment like Kimberly Nichole and Sawyer Fredericks, but there was still a chance for some sort of dramatic surprise in the end.

For the first few minutes of the show, the likes of Kimberly, Sawyer, and the breakout star of Tuesday night in Koryn Hawthorne were all declared safe. The four artists who were left in some danger were Hannah Kirby, Joshua Davis, Deanna Johnson, and Rob Taylor. We were a little surprised to see Hannah here, but she was ultimately declared safe before being in any real danger.

Going into the performances, our feeling was that Joshua was going to be the one to advance. He had charted the best during the season as a whole, and really did so without a whole lot of great placement by producers. Meanwhile, Deanna struggles with nerves, and many of Rob’s performances tend to blend together.

Were we correct? Sure, but we do have to call some shenanigans on Rob performing before commercial, whereas both Team Adam contestants went after. Did producers want to make sure Adam Levine still has a singer left? We don’t doubt the votes that came in, but Rob never really had that even of a chance. Joshua will be back, and he better hope for a big comeback if he wants to make it any further this season.
