‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: All about the Oliver – Felicity hookup

Arrow -There are few moments more anticipated in the world of “Arrow” than seeing Oliver and Felicity finally be together in a romantic way. It’s been a good couple of years now in the making and fans have been shipping this couple loud and proud. They’ve always had a connection, but the question has been mostly when or if the two were ever going to get on the same page enough to actually make another move forward in their relationship. With Oliver being so moody this season, coupled with his sack of weak excuses of why they can’t be together, we were wondering if this was going to happen for them this season

The funny thing here is that we always expected the show to surprise us whenever they decided to make the big hookup moment happen. However, they’ve instead opted to actually tease you ahead of time in promos. We now know that this hookup is going to happen, so this is really just a question of when and where. Hopefully, Felicity and Ray will also be broken up by then, since the last thing we want to see is Felicity cheating on her boyfriend – it just hasn’t been part of her personality to do something like that.

So why have the hookup now? This is what executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had to say to ET Online:

“I think it’s the next step in their relationship … We root for characters to be together as much as anybody. You’re sort of the ultimate shippers when you’re creators of the show. I think the time has come for them – they’ve been dancing around it for a long time – to really declare how they feel for each other.”

What we are excited about the most when it comes to Oliver and Felicity is that it opens up a variety of other great storytelling possibilities. For example, what would these two getting a morning coffee look like? What about at a grocery store? How do they unwind after a crazy day of saving the city? Will Oliver move into Felicity’s apartment? It is the mundane that we are the most interested in with these two, which we’ve said in some recent podcasts about the show.
