‘Madam Secretary’ finale spoilers: Elizabeth, Stevie face key decisions

When “Madam Secretary” wraps up its first season on Sunday, May 3, we are going to see many characters at major points in their lives. In some cases, it is dealing with pain from the past; meanwhile, on others it is setting the stage for an exciting but risky future. We’re going to start this article off by sharing the synopsis for “There but for the Grace of God,” and we will get to analyzing it afterwards:

“When Elizabeth (Téa Leoni) confronts her former friend Juliet (Nilaja Sun) about being a traitor, she flashes back to when then-CIA Director Dalton (Keith Carradine) offered her a job that would have changed the course of her life. Also, Stevie (Wallis Currie-Wood) and President Dalton’s son, Harrison (guest star Jason Ralph), begin a relationship.”

Clearly, Tea Leoni is going to be taking on the more heartbreaking story here. It’s never easy to find out that someone you are close to happens to be a traitor, and that is an easy thing to digest. This is all made even more difficult by the fact that she is going to have to take action.

As for the second part of this story, are we happy for Stevie and Harrison? Sure, at least so long as they are happy. The real interesting part of this story is mostly going to be watching to see how these two handle this relationship over time, as the public starts to catch wind of it … and also the press. People do tend to like to pry!
