‘Criminal Minds’ season 10 finale: Joe Mantegna, cast wrap up filming

Criminal Minds -Criminal Minds” is a show that really works hard at bringing us a good story. Doing 24 episodes a year is no joke! It is with that in mind that it is certainly easy to say that this cast and crew deserves a break, and they are definitely about to get one.

The image below is from series star Joe Mantegna on Twitter alongside Shemar Moore, and it confirms that today is the final day of filming season 10. This is a season that contained a variety of different surprises, whether that be some traumatizing situations for characters, chances for Mantegna and other actors to direct, and also the full introduction of Jennifer Love Hewitt as Kate Callahan. Both she and AJ Cook are each expecting, and these are real-life circumstances that the show will have to figure out schedule-wise how to work with next season.

Of course, CBS has not confirmed yet that there will be another season of the show, but at the moment this seems to be a foregone conclusion. It remains incredibly popular with its core audience, and fares better than the majority of the other shows on the network. There are some contractual things that need to be figured out still, but there is some time to have those taken care of.

The other main mystery right now is that of the spin-off, which has already aired its backdoor pilot. We imagine that we will learn more about its particular fate around the time of the network upfronts next month.
