‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6: Nina Dobrev films last Paul Wesley scene

While Nina Dobrev may not be done officially with filming “The Vampire Diaries” yet, it is getting closer and closer to the end. Therefore, you should really not be that surprised that she is hitting some major milestones before riding off into the sunset … including filming her last season with someone who has been a huge part of the show in Paul Wesley.

In a post on Twitter (see below), you can see what Nina had to say about wrapping things up with Paul. She has certainly spent quite a bit of time with him over the years. Not only that, but for some of that Elena and Stefan were one of the main romances. The love triangle between these two and Stefan’s brother Damon was the focal point of the first several seasons; while she has seemingly chosen Damon, that does not wash away in the slightest anything that happened between these two prior to that. Stefan has also seemed to move on, at least to a certain extent, with Caroline. (For now, though, the two are on a little bit of a vampire bender.)

It will be May before you have a chance to see all of Dobrev’s final scenes on the show itself. She has been planning to leave ever since the start of the season, as she has a desire to go off and do some movies and some other work. Maybe she will return for the finale next season, or some other big event, but it is still to be seen just what that would be.
