‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ preview: Could Joe’s challenge domination be over?

Joe -There are a variety of reasons to love this season of “Survivor,” but a solid immunity run is one of them. We’ve seen people like Colby and Ozzy dominate the vast majority of challenges that they have appeared in, and so far this season Joe has shown to be the next big competitor. He has won two immunities and one reward already, so can he make it four straight individual challenges Wednesday night?

Based on what Jeff Probst says in the sneak peek below from Wednesday’s episode, the reward challenge was most likely something team-based. Meanwhile, it looks like Joe could lose his first challenge of the season this week. He is struggling early to balance an object on his head, and the tough thing about this is that it is a completely different sort of skill than what he has used before. It requires a different kind of focus, and also to a certain extent the right shape of head. Given that he’s struggling early, it seems very unlikely that he is going to be able to hold on here until the very end.

The interesting thing about this particular episode is that even if Joe ends up losing, it is still possible he could stay. Why? Jenn seems ready to leave the game, and while she may not quit, she may do what she can to encourage people to vote her out. The reason why she may not quit outright is simple: After the NaOnka / Purple Kelly incident in “Nicaragua,” new rules were enacted that if you quit, you are not a part of the jury. Maybe that also means that you also lose some of the money that you would get for being on the jury. Clearly Jenn does not want that.
