‘Scorpion’ episode 21 preview: Can Cabe find redemption from Walter?
The beginning of the end is here for “Scorpion” Monday night, at least when it comes to the first of the final two episodes airing on CBS. “Cliffhanger” is hopefully going to be a pretty exciting hour of TV, especially since you don’t give your episode such an intense title unless you legitimately expect some intense stuff to go down.
1. The revelation – As if Walter O’Brien didn’t have enough on his plate already with his feelings for Paige and team Scorpion depending on him, we now have this: A revelation that some of his technology was used for a less-than-desired purpose by Cabe when he was younger. Specifically, what we’re talking about here is that technology that he created was used in order to cause destruction overseas by a man he truly trusted. Cabe finally comes clean to him about what he knew, and even though such violence was never intended to hit civilians, it did and as you can imagine Walter isn’t going to be that happy about it.
This could be a massive game-changer to the Cabe / Walter relationship, and it ultimately should be. If you were in his shoes, how would you handle the revelation that something that you had ended up leading to a mass loss of life elsewhere? Also, he’s really trusted Cabe, so this is a huge problem for them going forward – this could ultimately end their relationship and possible team Scorpion working with Cabe at all.

2. The mission – A slightly less successful sneak peek, at least at first. This is a thing that CBS really likes to do for many of their shows. They give you one preview that is very character-based, and then another that is more mission-based. It is only in the last 20 seconds and we start to understand the connection between Walter’s technology and what is happening now.
