‘Big Brother Canada 3’ review: Bruno’s decision; the game goes to the dogs

Bruno Ielo -We have been somewhat critical of the third season of “Big Brother Canada” over the past couple of days, but that is mostly from a live-feed perspective. The producers still know how to put together a pretty great TV show. This was a fun episode! We cannot sit here and say that we learned much that we did not know already from the feeds, but we did for the most part enjoy the confessionals.

Let’s start here by saying that we don’t fully understand the Bruno hate, save for that he has been in the dominant alliance and was close to Graig. Sarah, Brittnee, and Johnny are the underdogs, and that is why they are so popular at the moment. He seems to be playing a decent but not perfect game, mostly because he doesn’t really have an ally who is actually looking out for him. He’s close to Godfrey, who is mostly looking out for Godfrey.

Godfrey was great this episode, from his move to ensure that Bruno won HoH to also his fervent love of chicken feet, something that was a part of the dog-themed Have / Have-Not Competition. We’re not sure we would have wanted to take part in this episode, mostly because of the fact that we hate shock collars, and really would not be electrocuted even for some crazy cash prize at the end of the game.

Ultimately, Sarah and Johnny are on the block, with the latter being the consensus pick to leave for now. Here are a couple of other odds and ends from this installment:

1. We can never figure out if Kevin is good or terrible at this game. He is almost ALWAYS on the radar of someone.

2. Newport is a good alliance, but they seem to be feeling way too good about themselves at the moment. They are in a similar position right now to Peter and Alec in the first season.

3. Other than kissing Kevin, what in the world is Pilar bringing to the table?

In the end, we very much enjoyed this installment … even if the Masters delayed it for most viewers. Grade: B+.
