‘Blue Bloods’ season 5, episode 21 preview: The finale begins

Blue Bloods season 5“Blue Bloods” season 5 is going to be taking a week off next week, but when the show returns to CBS on April 24, it is going to be doing so with a pretty big episode that will mark the beginning of the end for this current run of episodes. Will it be the end of the series as a whole? We could not count on it. While the show has not been officially renewed for a sixth season, we would count on it happening. It does so well in total viewers for a Friday that there is zero justification for the network to get rid of it. Even if they did, another network would probably pick it up.

“New Rules” is the title for the first part of the finale, and based on the synopsis below, Danny and Baez are going to be going to extreme levels in order to ensure that justice is served after a shocking assassination.

“When an assassination of someone close to Frank transpires, Frank orders all hands on deck to catch the killer.  Working the case, Danny and Baez go see Mario Hunt (“Method Man”), a well-known member of a deadly gang, in the first of a two-part season finale of BLUE BLOODS, Friday, April 24 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Dennis Haysbert guest stars as NYPD Deputy Chief Donald Kent and Cliff “Method Man” Smith guest stars as Mario Hunt, a well-known member of a gang.”

This is the first time in a while that the has opted to make something into a two-part story, so for the time being, we hope that it reaches our level of expectation in creating something that is powerful and emotional.
