‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 video: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau gets silly with Jimmy Fallon

Thanks in part to the premiere of “Game of Thrones” season 5 airing on HBO Sunday night, we are getting a few glorious opportunities at the moment to see some entertainment featuring the cast on various talk shows. Today, the winner here comes via Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who continues to be very game to make fun of himself at times.

This week, the man behind the Kingslayer Jaime Lannister appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” where we got a rare glimpse into what his life is like away from the show. He is a father of two girls, and he tries often to embarrass them in any way possible. With that in mind, Jimmy taught him a new dance to make said embarrassment all the easier. It is just as silly and pretty much just as appropriate for this show as you probably would have guessed it would be.

Let’s hope that you really enjoyed getting this opportunity to laugh, since we’re not sure how much comedy there will be from Jaime this season. He is going to be heading off to Dorne, and who knows? Maybe during this journey we are going to have a great opportunity to see him interact somewhat with the Sand Snakes and some other new characters who will surface from this region.

There is one more comment that we want to make here: Why has there not been a star from this show as host for “Saturday Night Live” yet? Given that it is a global hit with so many viewers, it seems like that would be a natural transition for someone to come aboard here in this role. Both Coster-Waldau and Peter Dinklage have made cameos, but neither has hosted yet. Personally, we’d be game to see either of them or someone like Emilia Clarke in the role.
