ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 finale spoilers: An extremely surprising title emerges

Revenge -Revenge” may be a show that does its best to try to shock you on a weekly basis, but there is one thing that it definitely has been consistent over the years: Episode titles. All of them have been one word, and all of them have also inferred some sort of general theme or concept that we could expect to see in the rest of the surrounding story.

Well, that’s not happening in the finale. According to SpoilerTV, the title for the last episode of the season (and maybe the series depending on the ratings) is “Two Graves.” This is the first time the show has deviated from the pattern, and with a name like that, it is pretty darn easy to speculate that terrible things are going down. This is a series that has already killed off “Amanda Clarke,” Declan Porter, and Daniel Grayson; what is really stopping them from leaving behind another trial of bodies?

To go along with this, the site also says that “Plea” is the title for the penultimate episode. That one is slightly unusual in its own, mostly because we think of that word as a verb almost as much as we do a noun. Most of the titles are strictly noun-based, though at this point we are just getting really nerdy about it. (Clearly we are, given that we fancy ourselves an episode-title guru at this point.)

“Revenge” returns Sunday with a story entitled “Exposure.” Stay tuned for more.
