NBC’s ‘The Voice’ preview: Sawyer Fredericks, Joshua Davis, Kimberly Nichole off to good start on iTunes

The latest -Now that we’ve made it to the point on “The Voice” where America is voting, we’re back to discuss what has become one of our favorite subjects: iTunes votes! After all, these are for the most part what really determines whether or not someone stays or goes even more so than call-in votes or ones via the internet. The general rule here is this: If you are one of the leading vote-getters on iTunes, then odds are that you are probably going to be safe no matter what.

Granted, this week’s a little different since we’re looking at the overnight results on Wednesday rather than when we typically do these the afternoon before the show, mostly because we did not want to skew it so completely towards Tuesday’s show versus Mondays. After studying the sales numbers, we’ve come up with a list of a few people who are almost locks to advance.

1. Sawyer Fredericks – He is still the top-selling contestant, even though he performed more than a day ago and “Trouble” is not that original a performance to do.

2. Joshua Davis – We’ve said it before, but so smart for Adam Levine to pick a song that is on the rise in the charts in “Budapest.” It’ll help both Joshua and George Ezra at the same time.

3. Kimberly Nichole – “What’s Up” was perfect for her, and fittingly her vocal was also perfect. If there is any justice, she’ll be around for a long time.

4. Deanna Johnson – She closed tonight’s show, so it would be terrible if she was not selling well.

5. Mia Z. – Another underrated contestant this season.

In summation, we really hope that all of these five are around for a long time. They all killed their performances this week and deserve the sales.
