ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: ‘First Lady Sings the Blues’
We’re wondering right now what in the world is happening with the promotional team over at ABC. Why? Even though “Scandal” returns from its one-week hiatus next week with “I’m Just a Bill,” they have not released an official synopsis for it yet! Meanwhile, they have released one for “First Lady Sings the Blues,” which is the upcoming 20th installment of the season (or 18th, depending on if you are counting the pair of two-parters as a single episode) airing on Thursday, April 25.
Since we do not know yet the events of “I’m Just a Bill,” we cannot really speak as to the context of the synopsis below just yet. However, it does still feel like some fascinating stuff is going down, and Mellie Grant will be at the center of almost all of it:
“The team taking down B613 is in serious danger and forced to take drastic measures to ensure their safety. In the White House, Mellie is mortified when the nation turns against her and Cyrus is forced to come to her defense.”
Obviously, the big takeaway is that B613 is not going to be eradicated from the earth by the time this episode airs, which to us means that they could be set up here as a sort of endgame situation. We’re fine with that. They have been created as such formidable opponents that getting rid of them at any time in the near future would be a shame. (Of course, we have also openly campaigned for getting rid of them this season, mostly because there is only so long that you can continue to have people this sinister on the show.)
