‘Heroes: Reborn’ spoilers: Zachary Levi posts first photo of cast!

Heroes -There is something completely exhilarating and also strange about seeing Zachary Levi as a part of the cast of “Heroes: Reborn.” Let’s just put it this way. This was a guy who was starring in “Chuck” Monday nights at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, one hour before early episodes of “Heroes” were starting to come on the air. So to see him go from having the Intersect to potentially having powers should be fun!

NBC has still been very coy about the powers that most of these characters on the show’s revival are going to have, though someone apparently did greenlight Levi’s decision to post a quick tease of the entire cast on his Twitter page. One of the most familiar faces of the group here is obviously Jack Coleman, whose Noah Bennett a.k.a. HRG was one of the most influential characters of the original show. Another very familiar face here is Robbie Kay, who played Peter Pan in the third season of “Once Upon a Time.”

Why aren’t there more familiar fan favorites on board here? The simple answer for the most part is that many are not coming back (Zachary Quinto and Milo Ventimiglia have already confirmed this), and there are also some others (see Masi Oka) who may only be appearing in select episodes. We do figure that there may be a few others who appear at some point, but Tim Kring and company probably want to keep that under wraps as long as possible.

We’re cautiously optimistic about this. We love Levi and “Heroes” was at one point great; unfortunately, seasons 2 and 3 in particular were such a hot mess that we could barely stand to watch the fourth and previously-final season.
