‘Scream Queens’ spoilers: Latest on Ariana Grande, Emma Roberts, Nick Jonas

For all of those wondering, “Scream Queens” is still in production in New Orleans, and just about everyone is excited about it! How else do you explain the continued downpour of spoilers from the set? Let’s just say that it is very rare to see anyone talking or hyping up a show so extensively before it even premieres, and no one really knows whether or not it is any good. The only thing that we can say definitively right now is that there is clearly enthusiasm surrounding it from the cast and crew, and that should help to ease some of the nerves.

Executive producer Ryan Murphy has been of the more frequent photo-sharers from the set, and his new image from Twitter gives us one potential clue: This is a show most likely taking place in the present. We wondered if there was some sort of a 1980s flashback thing going on after we saw what Lea Michele was spotted wearing on the set (some sort of windbreaker with bright colors), but Nick Jonas’ shirt here is clearly a modern fashion that we’ve seen all over the place as of late.

As for the second exhibit, we have a quick Instagram photo for you below of Ariana Grande, who is going to be a recurring guest star on the series in between performing concerts and doing whatever else a mega-mega pop star does (some of you out there may get that reference). The bubblegum is a direct reference in its own right to the show’s promotional campaign, which has featured various characters blowing up bubbles that contain some sort of terrible demon within them. Yes, it’s totally weird, but so is the idea of a horror comedy in the first place with so many big TV names.
