‘House of Lies’ season 4 finale spoilers: A hope to end on a high note
Sunday night, the truth for “House of Lies” is that the show is ending with back-to-back episodes. Are you sad? You should be. This season has been pretty great! For the most part, our concern with this show for the most part is that it tries so hard to be edgy, cool, and laced in profanity, it often forgets to actually be funny at the same exact time. We’ve been bored at times with a show that airs on one of the craziest networks of all in Showtime.
What has made this season somewhat different is that they have remembered to give these characters hearts underneath the cynicism and the greed, and Jeannie is right at the top of the list. Sure, she is this self-centered, power-hungry businesswoman desperate to get the respect that she deserves; however, she does want to be loved on the inside, and her desire for that supersedes at times the best interest in her career.
For more on this very thing, take a look at our sneak peeks below!
1. Jeannie gets a new job offer – It’s a chance to be a CFO, and it probably means more money and Marty not weirding out on you much of the time. Logically, the gig makes sense. Unfortunately, we have never said that Jeannie is a particularly logical person. Also, if she takes it and doesn’t spend much time around Marty, the show is officially not as much fun.
2. Press photos – This video is mostly just reminding you that Denna and Marty basically hate each other, while taking the sweetest photo possible. Aw, look at the faces of corporate warfare! This story could be really great! It could also be a disaster. File this one under “too early to tell.”
