‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ spoilers: Chloe Sevigny returns are series regular

We’ve hinted recently that there could be a series revamp coming for “American Horror Story,” given that Jessica Lange is not returning and everyone from Michael Chiklis to Emma Roberts to Sarah Paulson and Frances Conroy seems to have some gigs lined up in other projects.

With that in mind, we are not even remotely surprised to hear about some of the other recent additions to the series. Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, and Cheyenne Jackson have all been confirmed as regulars. Now, Chloe Sevigny is getting the same exact treatment. The actress and former star of “American Horror Story: Asylum” saw her casting confirmed in a post on Twitter by executive producer Ryan Murphy. This gives the show at least one more committed face who is familiar to longtime viewers; of these five actors confirmed, Bomer, Bentley, and Sevigny have all appeared before in some capacity.

So could there still be some other returning cast members? We would hope to have more of Kathy Bates, given that she is fantastic and was to a certain against underused on this past season of the show. Also, Evan Peters could be a distinct possibility, and Angela Bassett has not announced any other gigs that would be conflicting with the show. The same goes for Denis O’Hare and Finn Wittrock.

We assume that some of these other castings will become clear over the coming weeks. There is not a huge hurry to make these announcements in theory, given that this new season still has a little ways to go before filming begins. Typically, that happens in the late spring.
