‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: Another plane crash brings up bad memories

There are a few moments over the history of “Grey’s Anatomy” that continue to stay out as ones that define the entire course of the show. You could say that the shooting is one of them, and the plane crash is another. This is the event that caused Arizona to lose part of her leg, and took the lives of Lexie Grey and Mark Sloan. It is due to this incident that the Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital now bears their names, and many of the doctors now have an ownership stake in the establishment itself.

Now, we present the bad news: There will be another plane crash at some point in the near future, the only real difference here is that this one does not seem to involve any major characters losing their lives. According to Entertainment Weekly, the doctors are going to be forced into tending to some people soon after a plane crashes in Seattle. As a result of this, Meredith and Arizona are going to suffer some PTSD.

Ultimately, this is just adding more woe to what has been a hard season for Meredith, given her present suspicions that Derek may be sneaking around on her with another woman while in Washington DC.

If you missed it, the promo for next week’s new episode does tease that some answers are coming soon when it comes to Derek; let’s just hope that it is not the worst-case scenario.
