Ratings: ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 steady; ‘Once Upon a Time,’ ‘Secrets & Lies’ decline
The early returns are in for ABC’s Sunday-night lineup, and there isn’t any bad news to report from “Revenge” fans … at least aside from what they’ve heard already. For the second straight week, the show has posted a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic that most advertisers look at. We’re not going to sit here and say that this is a particularly impressive number (it’s not), but it is better than where the show was at times earlier in the year. If it keeps this up, maybe it has a small chance of getting a shortened final season to close off Emily Thorne’s story.
“Revenge” was actually the only show on ABC last night to not suffer some sort of decline. “Once Upon a Time” slipped down all the way to a 1.8, which seems to be closer to its natural place these days when you strip away the “Frozen” casting and all of that. The quality of this season is rather good so far! “Secrets & Lies” followed this show up with a 1.3, which does not make us particularly hopeful about its chances. If its ratings are this low for season 1, it does not bode well for the future.
Over on CBS, there was not a whole lot of great news. While “Madam Secretary” (1.2) improved, it is the only show that has actually been renewed already as a part of the network’s lineup. While both “The Good Wife” (1.0) and “Battle Creek” (0.8) matched their ratings from last week, those same ratings were not exactly that great. “The Good Wife” is of such high quality that we’re not too worried about it yet, but the other show could be expendable.
As for Fox, we’re mostly just bummed that “Last Man on Earth” (1.5) is down.

I’m happy to know that Revenge is getting good ratings. I just saw tonight’s episode & it was great as usual. I think Emily should not be blamed for Margaux’s accident and I do not feel much sympathy for Margaux at all. . . Sad but true. I hope her lies don’t end Emily in jail. surely there must be a camera or witnesses there who saw what happened. I cannot wait for Emily’s announcement that she is really Amanda. Whatever happens, EMILY must come out on top, strong and invincible as ever. She must not ever become a victim… !!!
