ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 17 video: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, and a new ‘partner’

Monday night’s new episode of “Castle” is entitled “Hong Kong Hustle,” but it may as well be titled “Beckett deals with jealousy.” This one is fun for a variety of reasons, but to us, the biggest one is that it ultimately puts Stana Katic’s character in a position that she is not often in: Feeling green with envy.

The target of her envy here is none other than an accomplished chief inspector from Hong Kong (Linda Park) who excels at answering almost any crime in the blink of an eye. Just by entering a crime scene in the video below and getting a few clues, she is able to determine that a wi-fi connection may be the key to busting open the whole case. She’s also got a great personal life, and is married to one of Asia’s most notorious actions stars. In the words of Beckett, this woman is “just like her,” but “better.”

But is anyone really that perfect? Part of the fun with this episode will be figuring out if that is truly the case, since we definitely know at this point in the show’s run that not all that glitters is gold. There may be a secret or two that is still bubbling underneath the surface that Beckett has not quite figured out. Therefore, there is still quite a bit of intrigue in seeing what happens with this story as the investigation gets more and more intense.

Given that we are still getting over the 3XK saga, we’re fine with seeing some sillier episodes. Also, we’re always down to see Beckett in a position she is not particularly used to.
