‘Saturday Night Live’: Dwayne Johnson to host, George Ezra to perform on March 28

SNL -Apparently, “Saturday Night Live” has no problem going from one extremely muscular host to another within the span of a few weeks.

Following the reasonably-successful outing of “Thor” star Chris Hemsworth earlier this season, it was revealed today that Dwayne formerly “The Rock” Johnson will be hosting the next new episode of the sketch show come March 28. The timing is appropriate, given that his movie “Furious 7” will be coming out not too long after that. This marks Johnson’s fourth time hosting the show, which puts him just one gig away from being a part of that legendary five-timers club that you hear so much about. It actually has been a while since he has taken the reigns as host in 2009, which means that he will have an almost new-host vibe since he has yet to work with the majority of the cast.

As for the musical guest, we have further proof that “SNL” loves singer-songwriters from the United Kingdom! Young up-and-comer George Ezra is going to be appearing on the show for the first time. We admittedly don’t know much about his music, but buzz is strong and he could be one of the artists you hear a whole lot more about later in the year. We know the show loves to fancy itself as one of the first major launching pads for artists.

We anticipate we will be getting additional shows throughout the month of April, but at the moment, NBC is staying mum on most of those. We imagine some more news will come out later in the month.
