‘The Blacklist’ season 2, episode 16 preview: The Ryan Eggold story in ‘Tom Keen’

The Blacklist logo any seasonWe wanted tonight’s new episode of “The Blacklist” to be at times more exciting than it was. Luckily, though, it feels like next week’s story should make it all worth it and then some. Given how much stock this series tends to put in its episode titles, it is probably pretty darn important that “Tom Keen” is the name for the next one.

Before you do too much else, just take a look at the synopsis below to see just how desperate the FBI is to figure out where Ryan Eggold’s character, and to use him in order to ensure that Liz Keen is safe:

“As evidence mounts against Liz (Megan Boone) in the case of the murdered DC Harbormaster, a federal judge makes it clear to her that she will face severe criminal charges. Reddington (James Spader) and Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) jump into high gear to exonerate Liz but the only solution is to find the recently vanished Tom Keen – wherever he may be operating in world.”

It may be crazy to want to see more Tom, but the truth is we’d rather have a semi-regular presence of him than just getting him to pop in here and there. Is there a way that the FBI can actually use him? That has to be something that is considered. He may not be the most-wanted man in the world on the same level as Reddington, but it is pretty clear that he holds a lot of valuable information.
