‘The Last Ship’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Chicago Fire’ alum scores recurring role

The Last Ship -Anytime that we can report on TNT’s “The Last Ship,” we’re happy to … even if it does not actually ship out again and air new episodes until this summer on the network.

According to a new report from Deadline, recent “Chicago Fire” guest Tania Raymonde is set to recur on the second season of the Eric Dane drama as Domino. In addition to having an aggressive name that reminds us both of a Keira Knightley movie and of pizza, this character is a genius hacker-type who has managed to live so far off the grid ever since the virus started to decimate the majority of the world. She could end up becoming a huge asset to Chandler and his team, depending on how they plan to use her.

Raymonde has an option in her contract to become a regular on the series in the future, so this is clearly not a character they are planning to do away with anytime soon. One of their plans here may be to give her a little bit of a test run, just to see whether or not she brings something to the table they love. If it works out like they hope, then the plan could be to have a whole lot more of her on the series at some point in the future.

Of course, we imagine that there will be a whole lot more news related to “The Last Ship” as we get closer and closer to the premiere. Be on the lookout for that!
